We loved our rooms with awesome mountain views. Having an electric kettle and a fridge was a major bonus for us. the location was just perfect, close enough to Cat Ba Island to walk there. 🏞️

Phuong Dong Hotel offered great value for money with its simple yet comfortable accommodation. the beds were firm, which led to a great night's sleep. the hotel's location in the center of town made it convenient for exploring Cat Ba Island. Despite the language barrier, the staff was resourceful and used Google Translate to communicate effectively.

The hotel was relatively new, although some signs of wear could be observed upon closer inspection. Cons: Could not be improved in any way.

I stayed at this great hotel on Cat Ba Island. It was such a steal for the price, with beautifully designed rooms and new furnishings. The location was perfect, right in the heart of town. The owners were friendly and accommodating.

The only thing I wish could be better was the food for breakfast.

My stay at the Phuong Dong Hotel was fantastic! I was in Dong Khe Sau for a business trip and stayed at the hotel for 5 nights. The hotel is clean and well-maintained, with a friendly staff who helped arrange a shuttle for me to get to Hanoi. The rooms are comfortable, with hot showers and good amenities. The location is great, just a 5-minute walk from the main road and close to the Fort Cannon entrance. The hotel offers great value for money and I highly recommend it.

During my Christmas stay, I absolutely loved the friendly couple who managed the hotel. They made us feel welcomed and went out of their way to ensure we had a pleasant stay. The rooms were beautifully decorated and everything felt new. It was amazing to find such high quality at such a reasonable price. the hotel was conveniently located just a short walk away from the main road and close to the Fort Cannon entrance.

There were a couple of drawbacks to our stay. the showers ran cold, which seemed to be a common issue in Southeast Asia.

Got to enjoy a shared lounge while waiting for the snobby receptionist to reluctantly provide valet parking. I must admit, their currency exchange service was truly impressive. if only they could exchange their rude attitude too.

The staff's charmless demeanor made me feel like a bother. Couldn't they just be a little more welcoming, or maybe consider a career change?
